Approach
- Sleeping pod IoT — led IoT development for the sleeping pod, which received a Red Dot Award in 2018.
- Booking and operations — led development of the booking app with Angular, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, and the operations and IoT systems with AWS Lambda, Node.js, Philips Hue, and Raspberry Pi.
- Founding-team leadership — worked closely with the co-founders on IoT, architecture, DevOps, vendor management, and digital marketing, alongside business strategy and business development.
- Team and operational support — guided junior developers and automated operational tasks for other team members.
Outcome
An award-winning sleeping pod, a booking app, and connected operations brought the hotel’s digital and physical guest experience together. The company now presents its hospitality and travel technology offering through EXP.IS, including EXP.OS.
